The relentless pursuit to uncover – what makes a leader effective? That’s been my primary interest for many years now. Working in organisations and sitting around the table in senior leadership teams, I found my mind wandering. . . and wondering, what behaviours contributed to each of these leaders achieving senior roles in their business? Turning my mind to the, at times, derailing behaviours I had witnessed, I vowed to work with my business colleagues and other leaders to shift behaviour: – from behaviour that appeared to be successful in achieving short term gain, to achieving longer term sustainable team, culture and business effectiveness. And now – I’m passionate about helping organisations make the right decisions when appointing the leaders of their businesses – and then, working with them to demonstrate how each and every one can shift their behaviour towards effectiveness.
Working in organisations in senior Organisation Development and Human Resource business leadership roles and (over the past six years) as a consulting Organisational Psychologist, I have gained extensive experience and insight into leaders and what makes them effective. Consulting through organisational change (mergers, acquisitions, shared services and divestitures) and in cross-cultural contexts, I have supported leaders to demonstrate effective change leadership and to harness cultural diversity and intelligence to drive their business in international expatriate environments.

One way or another, I have been involved in assessing for recruitment, selection and development purposes for the past 14 years. And I love it!
I have extensive experience as a senior practitioner delivering psychometric assessment, leadership development, career transition and coaching. Whether working on national or international projects, both large and small, I am highly focused on designing, managing and delivering practical, useful solutions to clients. I understand the importance of individually tailoring a unique solution to meet client needs, be it in leadership development, end to end recruitment and selection, or psychological appraisal and reporting. My expertise also encompasses tailored client coaching and counseling to address a range of issues related to leadership, development, outplacement, and personal factors. I bring extensive experience in the design and implementation of targeted training, group facilitation and success measurement utilising assessment centre methodology and effective psychometric test usage, underpinned by current best practice, research and theoretical frameworks. As an accredited supervisor for probationally registered psychologists, I enjoy mentoring a range of individuals working to build and enhance skills toward full registration with PBA.
